Felice L. Gersh, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Gersh is the founder and medical director of Women's
Medical Group of Irvine. Since 1981 she has endeavored to make each and every
patient's visit to the practice a comfortable and satisfying experience.
Dr. Gersh received her bachelor's degree in history from Princeton University
and her medical degree from USC Medical School. She received many honors in
medical school, graduating in the top 5% of her class, and was awarded membership
in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She also received the top award
from the American Medical Women's Association.
Following medical school, Dr. Gersh completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology internship
and residency at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles. She won the CREOG
Award for the top scoring resident each year. The American Board of Obstetrics
and Gynecology awarded her diplomate status (board certification) in 1984.
Since her residency, Dr. Gersh has been recognized for her leadership and contributions
to the medical community. She was named a "Physician
of Excellence" by the Orange County Medical Association together with Orange
Coast Magazine for each of the last seven years. She was also named the "Most
Valuable Outside Faculty" at USC/Keck School of Medicine, where she is an Assistant
Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She teaches the interns and
residents how to do gynecologic surgery.
Dr. Gersh is very active in many professional organizations, including the North
American Menopause Society, the National Osteoporosis Foundation, the International
Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health, the American Association of
Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Orange County Medical Association and the California
Medical Association. She has been a reviewer for the Medical Board of California
and often teaches other physicians at Continuing Medical Education Programs
and lectures frequently to the community.
Dr. Gersh and her husband have raised four children. In her free time, she enjoys
skiing, traveling and reading. She loves being a doctor, helping her many patients
on their life journey, and hopes to continue her interesting medical career
for her entire life.
